Customer Service Manager, Call Center Manager, and Credit Manager

 September 1998 – July 2001     Black Box Corporation                            Pittsburgh, PA

 ▪     Successfully managed customer call volumes of 2,000 to 2,600 daily, achieving or exceeding both the 90% connect (within 20 seconds) and the “less than” 1% abandon rate goals. 

▪      Managed a staff of 100 employees including 4 supervisors.

▪      Established hiring, training, and performance evaluation programs that resulted in a 20%+ staff increase of “telephone ready” Customer Service Representatives.  Reduced turn over rate to less than 2%.

▪     Developed and managed group incentive programs that lead the Team to exceed target sales of selected product and service offerings.

 ▪    Met and exceeded  the international quality standards of the ISO 9000 for three consecutive years.

 

Credit Manager, Treasury Manager, Cash Manager, and Risk Manager

 October 1989 –1998                Black Box Corporation                                Pittsburgh, PA

 ▪     Developed, installed, and trained an autonomous Credit Department that was responsible for 17,000 domestic and international accounts representing $25+ million in receivables.

▪      Initiated, developed, and implemented sound policies and procedures in the credit approval, collection, and Accounts Receivable areas.

▪      Managed Credit Approval, Collections, and Divisional Cash forecasting.

▪      Supervised Credit Department office staff including secretarial, cash application, and accounts receivable.  Five Credit/Collection Reps were at remote locations.
